China Public Diplomacy Association received the delegation of Japanese government officials

China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA) a delegation of Japanese government officials organized by Japanese Personnel Institute visited China from January 12 to 18 on the invitation of Chinese Embassy in Japan. The delegation consisted of 16 people from 14 departments including Cabinet Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, etc. Mr. Suzuki Ryotaro, Deputy Director of the Japan Personnel Institute, was the head of the delegation. The delegation was accompanied by Li Wenliang, member of CPDA and former Consul General in Nagasaki, and visited Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen during their stay in China.

Vice President Hu Zhengyue of CPDA met with the delegation in Beijing, and they had discussions on topics such as public diplomacy exchanges between China and Japan. The delegation paid an official visit to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Civil Affairs and other government organizations, and exchanged views with related officials on China-Japan relations, “the Belt and Road” Initiative construction and poverty alleviation in China. The delegation also visited Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University of China and Huanqiu.com, and exchanged views on Chinese finance and new media with scholars and experts.

The delegation got a basic understanding of the development of AI, big data, e-commerce and other sectors in China by paying visits to the CBD Management Committee and Huawei, GAC Toyota, Vipshop, Iflytek, Hytera, Ing Dan and other companies in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. They had a better understanding of Chinese traditional culture by experiencing Chinese tea culture, Kunqu Opera, Calligraphy and other cultural activities.
