China Public Diplomacy Association President Wu Hailong led the diplomatic mission in China to inspect the Zhangjiakou Competition Zone for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games

On March 18, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, China Public Diplomacy Association President Wu Hailong led the diplomatic mission in China to inspect the Zhangjiakou Competition Zone for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Gamesand delivered a speech.

President Wu Hailong highly appreciated the progress of the construction of theZhangjiakou Competition Zonefor the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and said that the organization of the Winter Olympics will effectively promote the vigorous development of winter sports in China and push forward China’s common prosperity and green development.Hosting successfully the Winter Olympics is also our solemn commitment to the world. Wu hopes that all the envoys will have an insightinto China’s preparatory work for the Olympics, perceive China’s actions and determination to resolutely fulfill its international commitments and pass on China’s conception of holding the Olympics to the world.


The diplomatic mission expressed appreciation to China for actively overcoming the impact of the COVID-19 and sparing no effort to promote the construction of the sports venues and various preparations. It is believed that China will be able to keep its promise and hold"economic, safe and wonderful"Winter Olympics.

99 envoys in China from nearly 90 countries, regions and international organizations participated in the above activities, accompanied by Wang Lizhong, director of Hebei Foreign Affairs Office, Hui Jian, secretary of Zhangjiakou Municipal Party Committeeand Mayor Wu Weidong.
