On November 25, the 7th CJK Cooperation Dialogue was co-hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association, China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD), Japan Economic Foundation and East Asia Foundation of South Korea. Wu Hailong, China Public Diplomacy Association President attended the closing ceremony and made a special speech. KIM Sung-Hwan, Chairman of East Asia Foundation and former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of South Korea, KUSAKA Kazumasa, Chairman and CEO of Japan Economic Foundation and Chi Fulin, President of China Institute for Reform and Development delivered speeches. The Secretary-General of Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, MICHIGAMI Hisashi and the Honorary Senior Advisor of East Asia Foundation and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, GONG Ro-Myung delivered keynote speeches. Former Chinese Ambassador to ROK, Qiu Guohong attended the dialogue and gave a speech.

President Wu said that China, Japan and South Korea have geographical proximities and cultural affinities and have maintained close relationships in not only humanities exchanges but also trade contacts throughout history. In the context of the impact of COVID-19 and the downturn of global economy, China-Japan and China-Korea economic and trade exchanges can remain basically stable, fully demonstrating the resilience and enormous potential of China-Japan-Korea economic cooperation. Although the trilateral cooperation between China, Japan and South Korea has achieved fruitful results, it also faces many risks and challenges. Looking to the future, we should reinforce political mutual trust and maintain the overall situation of cooperation; maintain strategic focus and be alert to the interference of a third-party; deepen economic cooperation and promote regional economic integration; enhance cultural exchanges and intensify the connectivity about people-to-people exchanges.

Themed "China, Japan and South Korea Cooperation in the Post-epidemic Era: New Opportunities", this forum sets up four sessions: “Pandemic Spread, Outlook and Trilateral Cooperation”, “Climate Change, Green Energy, Environmental Industries and Trilateral Cooperation Post-COVID-19”, “Economic Impacts of COVID-19, Recovery Strategies and Social-Economic Policies for the Aged” and “Trade, Tourism, FDI, Regional FTAs, Tourism post-COVID-19 Recovery”. Nearly 30 experts and scholars from China, Japan and South Korea attended the online video dialogue and gave their speeches.
