Award Winners of the First China-ASEAN Friendly Cooperation Short Video Contest Announced

Results of the First China-ASEAN Friendly Cooperation Short Video Contest were announced on November 11. The contest was jointly organized by China Public Diplomacy Association, Mission of the PRC to ASEAN, China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, the ASEAN Secretariat, the Philippine Mission to ASEAN (which is also ASEAN’s country coordinator for China), and the People’s Government of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Since its launch on July 3, the contest has received positive responses from the peoples of China and ASEAN countries. A total of around 36,000 submissions from China and the 10 ASEAN countries were received.

After a careful review of the jury, which is composed of media experts from China and ASEAN, 1 Gold Award, 2 Silver Awards, 2 Bronze Awards, 20 Excellence Awards and 50 Shortlisted Works have been selected. Some of the outstanding award-winning works will be shown during the 2020 ASEAN Summit and Related Summits from the 12th to the 15th of this month.

Beneath presents the Gold Award video titled “Over the Sea”. The short music video was produced by the Philippine Chinatown Television. Diplomats from the Chinese Embassy to the Philippines, well-known Philippine singers and Chinese young actors participated in the recording of the video.
