From April 20 to 26, the China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA) hosted a visit by a five-member delegation from Yemen’s Suhail TV, led by its Director, Mohammed Zabara. During their stay, CPDA Vice President Liu Biwei met with the delegation in Beijing.

The delegation visited Beijing and Hubei Province, conducting field visits to Beijing Mentougou Convergence Media Center, the Planning Exhibition Hall of Zhongguancun Science City (Haidian District), Wuhan International Communication Center, and Xingguang Village in Caidian District—a national model village for cultural and ethical progress. The delegation gained an in-depth understanding of China’s traditional culture and the achievements of Chinese modernization. Meanwhile, the visit actively and effectively promoted exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Yemen’s media counterparts. 

Head of the delegation Mr. Mohammed Zabara stated that this first visit to China was highly significant and immensely rewarding. The members not only personally experienced China’s profound and splendid culture as well as its rapid socio-economic development but also gained a deeper understanding of the ideas, practices and achievement of the CPC’s national governance in the new era, which prioritizes the principle of "putting the people first." Additionally, they established and expanded friendship and cooperation with Chinese counterparts. He expressed his willingness to play an active role in presenting a true and multi-dimensional image of China to Yemen and the Arab world, and to contribute to the friendship between China and Yemen as well as China and the Arab world.
