The First China-ROK Roundtable Conference of Network Opinion Leaders Held in Beijing

  On June 11, 2014, the first China-ROK Roundtable Conference of Network Opinion Leaders was held in Beijing. The meeting was co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the ROK, with over twenty network representatives from China and the ROK attending the meeting.

  The guests present fully exchanged their opinions on such topics as the bilateral and international topics of common concern of netizens of China and the ROK, suggestions for enhancing China-ROK governmental and non-governmental exchanges, and approaches for promoting the interaction between netizens of China and the ROK.

  Both sides agreed that China and the ROK are geographical neighbors and have similar cultures, linked public mind, complementary economies and broad common interests. Netizens in both countries have a natural intimacy, so they should strengthen interaction and exchanges, and further enhance mutual understanding, so as to co-create a favorable network public opinion environment for the development of China-ROK relations.
