With the ending of the Second Session of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China Public Diplomacy Association received two honorable guests in this beautiful spring. Two famous sports stars Yao Ming and Deng Yaping came to share their experience about “Sports and Public Diplomacy”.
Mr. Song Ronghua, Secretary-General of the CPDA presided the forum. Mr. Shu Yi, Vice President of the CPDA first made a brief introduction of the association and expressed his view about sports and public diplomacy that is, as an important platform of public diplomacy, sports can greatly foster new practice of China Public Diplomacy.

Yaoming and Deng Yaping exchanged views with cultural celebrities, representatives from media and the association. They two talked about their experience about excellent games and intercultural communication respectively, from sports events to international exchange. They incorporate sportsmanship into public diplomacy practice and shape good image for China.
After the forum, the two sports stars took pictures with guests presenting at the forum.
