On May 28th 2019, the Graduation Ceremony of China Eurasia Press Center (CEPC) Program 2019 of China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC) was held at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). More than 60 guests attended the event including Vice President Liu Biwei of China Public Diplomacy Association (CPDA), Vice President Yan Guohua of BFSU, 13 journalists from Eurasian countries, diplomatic envoys from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other government departments, NGOs, academics, press and enterprises, etc.

Vice President Liu Biwei congratulated the journalists on their completion of the training. Liu stated that the journalists had a busy schedule with rich content during their short stay in China. They not only experienced the ancient traditional Chinese culture, learned about China’s national conditions and development of journalism in China, but also interviewed officials, experts and scholars, and witnessed China’s achievements made in the past 70 years since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially during the past 40 years after the Reform and Opening-up. The cooperation between China and Eurasian countries on the “Belt and Road” Initiative was launched at an early stage in various fields with fruitful outcomes, which has brought tangible benefits to all the peoples. We hope that all the journalists could continue making positive contributions to enhancing the people-to-people connectivity between China and Eurasian countries as well as sustainable development of relations between China and Eurasia.

The journalists expressed that they were honored to participate in the CEPC Program. The two-month training helped them experience Chinese culture, know about diligent and kind Chinese people, witness China’s fast development, learn about the “secrets” of China’s fast development and understand China’s lofty ideal of building a common community with a shared future for mankind. After returning to their own countries, they would make an effort to introduce a real, lovely and great China to their own people. They sincerely hoped that they could come to China to do some learning and reporting again.
