From July 24th to 29th, 2018, 22 journalists from 21 Asia-Pacific countries under the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC) program were invited to the “Initiative Ceremony on The Belt and Road and 10 Asian Countries Interview Activities in the Cool City——Liupanshui”. It was a media program presented by Liupanshui Municipal Government and organized by the People's Daily.
The journalists visited Shuicheng County, Liuzhi Sepcial Region and Panzhou City to conduct interviews on the opening ceremony of 2018 Summer Culture Festival, the poverty alleviation and resettlement project for Yi ethnic minority families in Haiping Village, Langdai Modern Agribusiness Demonstration Park, and Tuole, the Millennium Ginkgo Village where the China-ASEAN International Industrial Capacity Cooperation Forum was held. The journalists also visited places such as the Plateau Wetland Ecological Agriculture Demonstration Park on Mount Niangniang and Zhongshan Economic Development Zone.
Through the interviews, the journalists have gained in-depth understanding of Guizhou Province in various fields such as its opening-up, poverty alleviation by developing tourism, and ecological environment development as well as preservation of ethnic minority culture.
