On August 4th, 2018, journalists from China Africa Press Center (CAPC) under the China International Press Center program participated in the 2018 FOCAC- Africa China Poverty Reduction and Development Conference in Beijing with the theme “Belt and Road, and China-Africa Poverty Reduction Cooperation”.
The journalists attended the opening and closing ceremonies of the Meeting as well as its panel discussions. They focused on the remarks made by Mr. Liu Yongfu, Director of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, and suggestions made by participating academics and specialists on how to enhance cooperation between China and Africa on poverty elleviation through the Belt and Road Initiative. They also participated in related panel discussions at the meeting.
