On December 3, 2019, CPDA President Wu Hailong and Chairman of Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce Lu Jianzhong met with Nizami Ganjavi International Center Delegation, members of which are former President of Latvia Valdis Zatlers, former President of Bulgaria Rosen Asenov Plevneliev, former Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Mladen Ivanić, former President of Montenegro Filip Vujanović, former Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zlatko Lagumdžija, Secretary General of Nizami Ganjavi International Center Mr. Rovshan Muradov. The delegation attended 2019 Imperial Springs International Forum in China.
President Wu Hailong welcomed the delegation. He said that Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) countries have been friendly to China for a long time, who are important partners of China on the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the“17+1 Cooperation”. CPDA is willing to bring both sides together for exchanges and cooperation in various levels and fields, and to organize events of various forms to promote understanding, trust and friendship between China and CEE countries.
The delegation leader Valdis Zatlers appreciated for China’s hospitality. Chinese President Xi Jinping met with the delegation, for which they were greatly encouraged. China is a good friend and important strategic partner of CEE countries. They would like to work with China to adhere to multilateralism, construct the “Belt and Road” Initiative, and promote the establishment of a new type of international relations that is based on mutual respect and win-win cooperation.
