China Public Diplomacy Association received a delegation which consists of 9 journalists from 8 mainstream media of Montenegro from December 8 to 15.
During their stay in Beijing, H.E. Chen Yuming, Vice President of China Public Diplomacy Association, met with the delegation. Chen said that though it hasn’t been a long time since China and Montenegro established diplomatic ties, the friendship between the two countries is profound. He recently visited Montenegro and was impressed by its latest development. The two sides shall carry out practical cooperation in infrastructure, tourism, economy, culture and medical care so as to achieve greater development of bilateral relations and bring more benefits to the two peoples. Media friends are messengers of mutual exchanges, mutual learning as well as people-to-people connectivity . It will be highly appreciated if the media friends could cover and record what they see and hear during their stay in China and deliver authentic messages so as to strengthen the public support for China-Montenegro friendship as well as the bond of mutual understanding and friendship between the two sides.
The delegation visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, CCTV, JD.com and Xiaomi Company in Beijing.
During their stay in Ningbo, Mr. Chen Guomiao, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Ningbo Municipal Government, met with the delegation. Mr. Chen said that Ningbo enjoys close exchanges with Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) and aims to become the first choice for two-way cooperation and investment between China and CEEC, the first choice for goods from CEEC entering the Chinese market, and the first choice for people-to-people and cultural exchanges between China and CEEC. Mr. Chen expected more practical cooperation between Ningbo and Montenegro in the future. The delegation visited Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group, Chunxiao Production Base of Geely Automobile Group, CEEC Products Permanent Exhibition, and China-CEEC Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, and had discussions and exchanges with leaders of relevant departments.
During their stay in Shanghai, Deputy Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal Government Mr. Fu Jihong met with the delegation. Mr. Fu said that Shanghai is accelerating the construction of “five centers” for international economy, finance, trade, shipping and scientific innovation. Montenegrin enterprises are welcome to attend the China International Import Expo, bring quality products to Shanghai and share good trade platform. It is believed that China and Montenegro can carry out cooperation in a wider range of areas under the framework of the “17+1” Cooperation and the “Belt and Road” Initiative. The delegation’s visit will promote more friendly exchanges and cooperation between Shanghai and Montenegro.
During their stay in Shanghai, the delegation visited companies such as Shanghai Waigaoqiao No.3 Power Plant, Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub, Trip.com Group, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Tower and so on.
H.E. Xu Jian, former Chinese Ambassador to Poland, accompanied the delegation during their stay in China.
